Solar Panels: Consumer Leasing Act violation
Our client, a senior citizen from Camden County, NJ was told, in writing, that new solar panels installed on her home would be free, so she signed. When it was discovered that the fine print really called for $13,000 in payments, she contacted Flitter Milz and we filed suit on her behalf. The federal court sitting in Trenton, NJ held that the complicated solar panel lease used did not comply with the consumer lease disclosures required by federal law.
